PROJECT BACKGROUND PROJECT COMPONENTS

Essex Hall Primary School, St. Andrew main source of water is Rainwater Harvesting and the occasional trucking of water. The School currently has an existing rainwater harvesting system consisting of Water Harvesting Guttering, One (1) 12 000 gal. Concrete Tank and a 2000 gal. Steel Tank that is used for both bathroom and canteen purposes. Currently both tanks have significant leaks that are beyond repair and needs to be replace, water harvesting gutters that are in a deplorable condition and needs to be replace in order to maximize on the water being collected.

To provide a reliable source of potable water to the households in Golden Hill and surrounding areas.

OVERALL AND SPECIFIC PROJECT PURPOSE

Increase and improve the rainwater harvesting system and storage capacity to provide adequate supply of water for the daily of students and staff.
